100% of proceeds from this benefit will go to the
Sri Lanka Children's Fund, which has
been set up under the aegis of the
The Women's Foundation of California, a highly-regarded
philanthropic organization based in San Francisco. Aid from the Fund shall be used to
directly support the efforts of a number of
very effective organizations on the ground in Sri Lanka in the wake of the tsunami
with particular emphasis on helping
women and orphaned children immediately AND in the long term.
If you can't make it on Friday but still want to support the Fund's work in
Sri Lanka's Eastern Province, please send your cheques to either Pireeni or
directly to the fund as described here. Thank you.
